True to the humor, Apple today launched iPhone 5S and a cheaper iPhone 5C. iPhone 5C has the same specifications as of the iPhone 5, jus that it’ll come in a plastic body. Which means the new iPhone 5C will feature a 4 inches retina display, A6 processor, 8MP back camera, HD capable front camera and LTE support. It’ll be shipped with iOS7 pre-installed. iPhone 5c will come in 5 different colours – Green, Blue, Yellow, Pink and White. iPhone 5C is priced at $99 for 16GB model and $199 for 32GB model in USA with contract (iPhone locked to AT&T, Sprint or Verizon). No price information is yet available for factory unlocked models.
Now, the much awaited iPhone 5S is priced as below with contract:
16GB – $199
32GB – $299
64GB – $399
The new iPhone 5S is available in silver, gold, and space gray. iPhone 5s has a better A7 processor A7 chip with 64-bit architecture. It also features a M7 motion co-processor. The new noticeable feature is a Touch ID fingerprint identity sensor, which can be used to unlock the iPhone screen. You can store more than one finger prints in your device, which means you can store finger print of your spouse and kid in case they need to use the phone. Finger print sensor can also be used for in app purchase, you don’t need to type your user ID and password in iTunes everytime you make a purchase. Back camera is again 8MP only against the expectation of a better camera. However, it has a 15% larger image sensor which is supposed to be capturing larger mega pixels for better picture.
iOS 7 will be available for download from September 18th. It’ll be available to iPhone 4, and later models. It means iPhone 3Gs is now dropped from iOS upgrade list the same way iPhone 3G was stopped at iOS 4.2.1.
More on this later. Staty tuned.
